A first impression about someone is not always accurate, and sometimes “familiarity breeds contempt.” Everyday there is a chance to meet a new person, and often we meet someone who in the beginning we think is sympathetic, charismatic, polite, and charming, but when we start talking with them, we find their attitude is totally different than we thought. Also, you can have a bad opinion about someone, and the better you know the person, the less you like him or her.
A few years ago, I met my best friend’s boyfriend. Although he was friendly and nice, I had a bad feeling about him. In the end, he cheated on her, and she told me that he was rude when he got angry. Our opinion, or impression, of someone could be right or wrong, but knowing that person better will help us decide.
